I took design inspiration from the most iconic pieces in my vintage collection and set my ambitions on creating something rooted in my appreciation of the past, but with a thoroughly modern approach.

Anyone who knows me, knows I have long been inspired by Audrey Hepburn – her signature doe-eyed style, unparalleled grace, and foremost - beautiful spirit, and her incredible legacy of philanthropy.
In 2017, I learned that Audrey’s beloved gold and sapphire Lipstick Holder, a true one-of-a-kind made exclusively for Audrey in 1954, would be auctioned at Christie’s, and after an emotional rollercoaster of an auction, I walked away as the proud owner of a piece of beauty history.
When I collected it from the auction house, I was shocked to see that it still contained a small amount of Audrey’s lipstick. The shade was a beautiful, true salmon pink – and has inspired the creation of my own version of this shade for my new Rouge Experience collection - named Audrey.
My vintage makeup collection has always informed both my creative work and my own brand, and the story of Audrey’s Cartier Lipstick holder is one that is close to my heart. So, it only felt right for me to in turn recognise what was close to Audrey’s heart – helping children. In 1988, Audrey became a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. She was passionately devoted to her cause, tirelessly advocating for children’s rights during her many visits to UNICEF projects across the world.
To continue Audrey’s incredible legacy, I have proudly made a commitment to support UNICEF over the next year through donations to help protect the rights of every child. I am overjoyed to be able to contribute to this cause, on this next exciting chapter of my brand’s journey.
