The original Velvet Ribbon has been my holy grail red since Lisa Eldridge released it, and I've since acquired the gloss and now the Rouge Experience version. I really love the satiny texture of this iteration, which for me is more versatile and will be ideal for occasions when I don't need the full drama of the more matte-looking velvet. It's so impressive to me how Ribbon can be translated consistently through so many different forms of application!

I loved the concept of a lipstick I could use forever, so I bought this lipstick in the color Ribbon, as I figured the red lip is always classic. I am blown away by this lipstick. The lipstick is incredibly pigmented and glides on like velvet. The color looks absolutely fantastic. The case is beautiful, and I am so glad I had it monogramed. This will definitely be THE lipstick that I carry around.

Of all cosmetics, Lisa Eldridge's lipstick is my favorite. Her latest creation, Rouge Experience Refillable Lipstick, is no exception. The beautiful vintage-inspired metal tube feels weighty and substantial and closes with the most satisfying sound. But of course, what's inside matters the most. The lipstick itself is a soft creme texture - although it's not billed as long wearing, I found it lasted at least 4 hours, without any texture issues. I love it as my beloved Rouge Velvets and cannot wait to try more shades. Did I mention that it's entirely recyclable? This lipstick is like no other! In the photo I'm only wearing the Rouge Experience Refillable Lipstick in Ribbon along with the matching lip pencil.
